Paint Your Own
Make colourful wrapping paper for Christmas or birthdays. If it's a nice day, do this outside. If it's an indoor rainy-day project, remember to put plenty of newspaper down to cover all the surfaces.
What you need
Poster paints (lots of different colours)
Rolls or sheets of plain coloured paper
Paint brushes
Paper cutter and zig-zag scissors
Glue sticks
Paper Punch
Ribbon or pipe cleaners
What to do
1. Paint circles, stripes, squares or crosses on the paper, spacing them evenly. Leave to dry
2. Make a gift tag by cutting a small piece of the painted paper. Glue the tag onto the card and punch a hole in the corner for the ribbon or pipe-cleaner tie to go through.
3. For more ideas, you could use little white punch-hole protectors (ask Mum or Dad to get you these) and make polka dot paper. You could also stick gold stars on dark-blue paper for a special birthday.
